Hello and welcome to Simply Essential! I truly cannot put into words what it means to me to finally be launching this platform for women to come and share their experiences and create the life they were meant to live!

My own journey has been a rollercoaster but when I reflect back on my life so far, I know that everything had to happen in order for me to be where I am.

I was lost

As the mom of 2 teenagers and a wife for 17 years I realized that I, Marybeth, had gotten lost somewhere. I am not even sure I ever really knew who Marybeth was. I knew who I was trying to be but it never felt like enough.

As I took the deeper dive into figuring out who I was and what I wanted out of my life, I realized that there were so many layers to go through. I have been processing trauma my whole adult life.

Growing up I was impacted by alcoholism, addiction, abuse, trauma and divorce. On my own at a very young age, I threw myself into work and school and was so proud when I earned my Master’s Degree in School Counseling in 2002. I have worked in a public school setting for 20 years and love the connections that I have made with teenagers figuring out what their next steps are.

Desire to help other women

I’ve always wanted to, and talked about, branching out on my own, and working with women in a different capacity, other than the realm of education. I finally took the leap and started a Holistic Life coaching program in 2021. It was a life changer. Everyone had been through so much and people were re-evaluating their lives, I think people still are.

For me, connecting my mind, body, soul and spirit was what led me to finally creating a legitimate platform for Simply Essential. I made a Facebook page years ago and have randomly been posting about life and essential oils but there has always been a voice in my head saying – this is not enough. 

Transformation and support

I have done the work, I have sat with my shadow, I have accepted all the parts of me, something I truly thought would never happen. With the support of many amazing people, I turned inward and took responsibility for the life I had made, offering myself love, compassion and forgiveness.

Now I am here, for you, to remind you of how deserving and amazing you are, how beautiful, inside and out, you are, and how you have the power to make your life feel good again. Let the journey begin.
